House Tour: A House in Sweden

This house was built in 1720 and was uninhabited for the last 50 years. Finally Gustaf Willers
decided to buy it and give it a chance and a new breath of life.
So after several months of extensive renovations, he settled in with his wife
and their three children.

Trivia:

  • The house has 5 fireplaces, one at each room, as there is no central or other form of heating!
  • The table in the library is 300 years old.
  • The renovation lasted 15 months.
  • The door between the kitchen and the house was once used by the maid and is only 1.60cm tall!

  1. Fascinating! I always wonder why homes are left vacant for years at a time . Thanks for sharing this beautiful home.

  3. Amazing! So beautiful and I love that they left the character intact in the renovation. it still looks old but with modern conveniences (except for the heating, I guess). Incredible home.

  7. I have the sofa to match the green tropical bird chair in the first picture! Is it from Hugo's?
